It was a black and white affair as The Westin South Coast Plaza welcomed over 210 guests dressed to the nines for the Pacific Symphony’s 2016-17 Classical Opening Night Celebration and Concert. After strolling down the pristine red carpet, guests socialized as trays of cocktails and hors d’ouevres swirled about. As night began to fall, the soirée moved indoors to the grand ballroom, adorned in elegant black and white detail, where a lavish three-course meal awaited. Symphony President John Forsyte kicked-off the festivities, welcoming guests and offering a word of appreciation to the Symphony’s musicians, before Musical Director Carl St. Clair took to the stage to offer an enthralling overview of the season ahead. However, the evening truly hit a high note during the Pacific Symphony’s concert at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, with the orchestra enchanting the audience with its lush, symphonic sounds. In keeping with the tempo of the evening, all were welcomed back to the Westin’s poolside Terrace Pavilion to enjoy champagne and a host of decadent desserts. As always, a most harmonious celebration.
