It was a thrilling evening in Newport Beach for the Literacy Project’s 8th annual “What Dreams Are Made Of” gala, which raised nearly $85,000 to not only help disadvantaged children throughout Southern California learn how to read, but to also expand the program into Utah and Illinois. Guests enjoyed Sandra Mendoza’s “Save A Child” global approach to her creative centerpieces, miniature “Nothing Bundt Cakes” from sponsor Linda Kirkpatrick, and wines from Zotovich Estate Wines. The event featured a live auction, as well as the presentation of the esteemed Dream Maker award to Cindy Culpepper, CEO of Galardi Group, for her dedication to the nonprofit’s mission. The successful event completes another memorable chapter in the Literacy Project’s effort to fight against illiteracy.
